--3B Aramis Ramirez, who sat out Monday and Wednesday with a sore lower back, returned to action and went 2-for-3.

--LF Alfonso Soriano extended his hitting streak to five games with a single. He also walked twice to up his on-base percentage to .400. Soriano committed his second error of the season as he let Brendan Ryan's double get past him for an extra base in the first inning.

--2B Mike Fontenot is in an 0-for-14 skid. He went 0-for-4 as his average dropped to .226. Fontenot committed a baserunning blunder Wednesday, but manager Lou Piniella said he's not concerned about Fontenot, who has taken over at second for Mark DeRosa, who was traded to Cleveland in the offseason.

--RHP Aaron Heilman suffered the blown save when he allowed Khalil Greene's homer; it also ended Heilman's scoreless-inning streak at 4 2/3 innings. Heilman said he's not worried about the beleaguered bullpen. "We left a few pitches up, and they took advantage of our mistakes," he said. "We've got to do a little bit better job and eliminate those mistakes. The bullpen's very unique and has a lot of different parts. The goal is to have a group that's very interchangeable."
