--RF Milton Bradley homered in the fifth inning, only his second of the season and his first since April 10. Bradley has been in and out with a groin injury. INF Mike Fontenot followed with homer, marking the first time this year the Cubs have had back-to-back long balls.

--SS Ryan Theriot committed two errors Thursday, giving him four for the season. He dropped Cameron Maybin's popup in the first inning and then let a throw go off his glove in the Marlins' six-run 10th. Manager Lou Piniella is looking to give Theriot a rest. Theriot and LF Alfonso Soriano have played in every game so far.

--1B Derrek Lee went 0-for-4 Thursday, including a key strikeout in the bottom of the ninth with a man on second and one out. Lee's average dropped to .189, and he has only one homer. "I'm bad right now, really bad," Lee said. "I have to make some adjustments."

MEDICAL WATCH:

3B Aramis Ramirez (left calf soreness) left the April 24 game, and he didn't play April 25-30. He is day-to-day.

RHP Carlos Marmol (strained left leg muscle) left the April 24 game, and he didn't pitch April 25-28. He returned to action April 29 and April 30 but pitched poorly both days.
