MEDICAL WATCH:
LF Alfonso Soriano (strained right calf) was injured April 15 and was placed on the disabled list the next day. He is expected to be ready to return as soon as he is eligible to do so. LHP Scott Eyre (left elbow inflammation) opened the season on the 15-day disabled list. He began a rehab assignment with Class A Daytona on April 24, and he could be back in late April.
RHP Angel Guzman (elbow surgery in September 2007) went on the 60-day disabled list March 25. He won't be a factor until late in the season, at the earliest.
