CHICAGO (AP) - First base umpire Brian O'Nora limped off the field in the second inning of Saturday's Rockies-Cubs with an injury to the back of his left leg.

O'Nora was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital for an MRI to determine the extent of the injury and is not expected to work Sunday's series finale. Another umpire will be added to the crew.

O'Nora had run into right field to make a ruling on a sliding catch by Colorado's Seth Smith to end the first inning. In the second, on an appeal from home plate umpire James Hoye, O'Nora extended his arms to rule that Colorado's Jeff Baker did not swing. Moments later, he grabbed the back of his leg and began to limp.

Crew chief Jerry Crawford came over from second base to check on him and Cubs' trainer Mark O'Neal jogged out of the dugout. O'Nora limped off as O'Neal accompanied him toward the dugout. The game continued with three umpires.
