The discipline announced Saturday by Major League Baseball stems from an outburst in Thursday's loss to the St. Louis Cardinals. Bradley was caught looking at a called third strike with the bases loaded while pinch hitting in the sixth inning.

Fined an undisclosed amount, he will appeal the suspension. Bradley had been suspended twice previously, in 2004.

He was out of the starting lineup against the Cardinals for the fifth straight game on Saturday with a groin strain.

Bradley is off to a 1-for-18 start after signing a 3-year, $30 million deal with the Cubs in the offseason.
