ST. LOUIS (AP) - Aramis Ramirez strained his left calf running the bases and was taken out in the fifth inning of the Chicago Cubs' game against the St. Louis Cardinals on Friday night.
Ramirez was hurt on a double leading off the second against Adam Wainwright. He was batting .358 with three homers and 14 RBIs and is 12-for-27 (.444) during a seven-game hitting streak.Mike Fontenot moved from second to third to replace Ramirez before the Cardinals batted in the fifth, and Aaron Miles came in to play second. Miles took Ramirez's cleanup spot in the batting order.
